Review: Kiko Milano Wet and Dry Eyeshadow

Hi there!

Have you caught on to the rose gold/red trend yet? Everywhere I look I see the Huda Rose Gold palette and the new Urban Decay Naked Heat palette pop up. I love these colours so much, but I simply can’t afford an expensive palette like that. And it’s really only the reddish shades that I’m drooling over. So I figured I’d go on a search for a good red/burgundy shade that is affordable. What I found was this gorgeous burgundy individual eyeshadow by Kiko Milano.

It comes in a plastic casing with a see-through lid and a magnetic system that keeps the lid closed, which I find gives it a very sophisticated feeling, even tho I bought this product for only ₤3.40 (this was with a discount, which you should really keep your eye out for, cos Kiko do great discounts! I believe the normal price is ₤6.90).

This product is Kiko Milano’s high pigment wet and dry eyeshadow in the colour 54 Metallic grape juice. And high pigment it is. It has a metallic finish and applies really well. You can build the product up to make the colour more intense, and when you use a little bit of water you’ll get even more of a pigmented effect. The colour is like a red wine burgundy.

In these pictures I only used this colour and a silver eyeshadow. I did not use an eyeshadow base, so you can see how pigmented it is on its own (one of my lashes did not want to work with me, I’m sorry for it being a bit wonky XD)

If you don’t want to spend a load of money on a palette, but you do want to ride the rose gold/red wave, I highly suggest finding some individual eyeshadows and save some money. Kiko also sells little palettes that hold three eyeshadows, which you can choose yourself.
