Review: Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick

Autmn is upon us. Although that means the weather is getting colder, most other thingswill get warmer. The colours of the leaves falling from the trees, the candles burning and cosy blankets and throws to curl up under. And with autumn come the new darker makeup colours. Last weekend I popped into town to run a few errands and spotted there was a discount on the Rimmel London products. So I bought this gorgeous warm purple coloured lipstick.

It has the faintest shimmer in it and the texture is quite glossy. I used to go for the matte or creamy kind of lipsticks, but I thought I’d try something new. This one is from the moisture renew line. It contains vitamin A, C and E. Though I do like it, it has some things you might want to consider before buying. I want lipsticks to be a bit long lasting and this one isn’t. It will also bleed into the fine lines pretty quickly, so I need to use a lip liner with it. But the colour (no. 330, Sloane’s plum) is so gorgeous I don’t regret buying it. It’s the perfect colour for autumn and is not too dark for my light skin

The packaging is also very nice. It’s a purple see through plastic casing which slopes at the top. Now I just need to find the right lip liner to pair it with. Do you have any recommendations for a good clear lip liner?

And have you tried the moisture renew lipsticks by Rimmel? Let me know in the comments below!
